Withlacoochee Trail State Park

Trail Location: Citrus Springs to Tribly

Trail Length: 46 miles

Trail Surface: Asphalt

Trail Description: The Withlacoochee Trail was built on 46 miles of an abandoned railroad bed. The trail starts north of S.R. 50, a mile east of I-75, and proceeds through the Withlacoochee River, on by the Silver Lake Campground, through Floral City, Inverness, Citrus Springs and endl at Gulf Junction just south of Dunnellon. There is no fee for the use of Withlacoochee Trail State Park.

West Orange Trail

Tail Location: Apopka to Orange/Lake county line

Trail Length: 22 miles

Suncoast Trail

Tail Location: Northern Hillsborough County (Lutz Lake Fern Rd) north through Pasco County to Hernando County (US Hwy 98)

Trail Description: Suncoast Trail is a non-moterized paved trail. It parallels and was developed with the Suncoast Parkway. It is officially part of Florida's Statewide Greenways ad Trails System. A highlights of the trail is the Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Preserve. This portion crosses rivers and creeks, including the Anclote and Pithlachascotee, and provides views of beautiful nature.

Pinellas Trail

Tail Location: St. Petersburg to Tarpon Springs

Trail Length: 47 miles

Trail Surface: Asphalt

Trail Description: Pinellas Trail is on an abandoned railroad bed which passes by deep glades of live oaks, trailing Spanish mosses, tidal streams with wildlife and quiet waterways for fishing. The Pinellas Trail is a 15 foot wide paved asphalt trail leading to city, county and State Parks along the way. A trail spur was built to Honeymoon State Park form the Pinellas Trail. The Pinellas haven of peace. No fees required for using the trail.


Nature Coast Greenway

Tail Location: Cross City through Fanning Springs to Chiefland to Trenton

Trail Length: 32 miles

Trail Surface: Asphalt

Trail Description: This trail is like a Y with a horizontal bar running across the top and extending both left and right to make a modified T. Chiefland is at the south end of the Y/T, Trenton at the east end, and Cross City is at the west end. The triangular portion in the middle is known as Wilcox Junction from the days when this was a railroad junction. (There is no town at Wilcox Junction.) Wilcox Jct. consists of three trail junctions that can be referred to as "South Jct", "West Jct" and "East Jct"

By traveling the length of the trail, visitors will get a close-up look at the flora and fauna of rural, north Florida. Deer step out from the sections of dense underbrush, while planted pines shade woodlands along other sections of the trail. A few stretches pass through marshy land.
